Beautiful Cheetah Nail Art Tutorial With Detailed Steps And Pictures

Nail art is not a passing fad. It is a style statement. Grooming your nails is as important as styling your hair! But most of us tend to simply ignore our nails, or at best simply apply some nail print. But why not try something different? Why not try some nail art?

Cheetah Nail Art

Things Requi

  • A base coat (optional)
  • A skin colored nail polish
  • A white polish
  • A metallic brown and golden nail polish
  • A small piece of sponge
  • Acrylic paints in black, greenish yellow or muddy yellow, brown and white
  • A nail art brush
  • A transparent polish

Method of Applying Nail Art Cheetah Print:

Step 1:

single layer of base coat
Paint your nails with 2 nice coats or a single layer of base coat. This is important, especially if your nails are prone to chipping or breaking. This also prevents nail stains from acrylic colors. Wait till the base coat is completely dry. Now use 2 layers of a skin colored nail polish. This will make the base more opaque.

Step 2: 

white polish
Now use the white polish. Apply at least 2 coats of white polish or till your nails become completely opaque.

Step 3:

Now take the muddy yellow color and draw a shape like above. It should be a bit diagonal.

Step 4:

Now follow up the shape with a nail art brush and black acrylic paint to give it the shape of cheetah’s eyes.

Step 5:

Do the same for the next finger. It should look something like above.

Step 6:

bright orange colored nail polish
Now cover up the other nails with the same muddy yellow color. You can also use a bright orange colored nail polish or acrylic paint.

Step 7:

Now take your nail art brush and take brown colored acrylic paint. Use a dotting tool or just your nail art brush to make some uneven small and big cheetah prints. Also, use a big, diagonally stretched dot of brown for each of the cheetah eyes. Use another dot of black with black acrylic color at the centre of the brown mark. Use a very small bit of white on to one side of the black eyeball. This will make the eyes look more alive. This tiny white mark will represent the reflection of light in the eyes. When all these detailing are completed, it should look something like above.

Step 8:

Now take the golden and metallic brown colored polish on to a palette. Use a small piece of sponge to sponge up the two colors on to the white areas of the two nails where you have drawn the eyes. It should look something like below. Let the whole design dry completely. When dried, seal up this awesome design with a nice layer of top coat.

2 Fun Hello Kitty Nail Art Tutorials You Can Try At Home

I can’t stress on how super popular, cute and adorable hello kitties are. Without talking too much, I’ll quickly take you on a tour of the cutest nail art – get set ready!
Creating hello kitty nails can be fun too. So if you’re looking for the most recent trends then you’re at the right place. Here I bring you my two creative versions of the hello kitty nails, which can really convince you to try them upon yourself. Check them out.

Things you need for version 1 are as follows:

  • A base coat (optional)
  • A shimmer pink color nail polish
  • A transparent polish
  • White polish
  • A Fuchsia polish
  • Yellow acrylic color
  • Black acrylic color or a black striper or a black nail art pen
  • Light pink nail polish or light pink acrylic color
  • A black acrylic paint
  • A toothpick
  • Metal chains in silver
  • A pair of tweezers
Version1:

Step1.

Start off by painting your nails with a nice base coat. This is optional and you can directly start by using a light nail polish such as shimmer pink. However, do remember that if you are going to be using a lot of acrylic or fabric paints on the nails then it is good to apply a base coat. Application of base coat is essential for cases where your nails have habit of getting stains or are prone to chipping.
I have skipped base coat. I have directly applied 2 decent layers of a very light shimmer pink color on to all the nails.

Step2:

Paint up all the 4 nails except for the middle finger nail with fuchsia pink polish leaving space for the tips.

Step

Use a nail art brush and white polish to perfectly create the white French tips. You can use white acrylic paint too. Paint up the middle finger nail with white nail polish.

Step4.

Paint up the whiskers of Kitty using a thin nail art brush and black acrylic paint. Or you can use your black striper. Now give a centre black dot with the blunt end of the toothpick. Use a dot of yellow acrylic color over the black dot for completion of the nose of Kitty.

Step5.

Give two dots for the eyes of the kitty with black and draw a bow with a nail art brush and pink polish.

Step6.

Now take the black striper or a nail art brush and acrylic paint and draw the outline for the bow. Give some inner detailing too. Next take your toothpick or a dotting tool and light pink nail polish or acrylic paint (preferably not of the same color as we have used on top) and give some dots of varied sizes on to the white tips of 4 nails.

Step7.

Apply a line of transparent polish on to the demarcation between the pink and white portions for 4 of the nails. Cut metal chains properly according to the size of your nails. Take the help of a pair of tweezers and place the pieces of metal chains one after the other in a curved manner.

Step8.

Now your design is complete. Apply two decent layers of transparent polish to seal in the whole design and to keep the chains from falling off. Hope you enjoyed this one.
Things you need for version 2 are as follows:
  • A base coat (optional)
  • A shimmer pink color nail polish
  • A light pink nail polish
  • A dark purple nail polish
  • A transparent polish
  • White polish
  • A thin nail art brush or black striper or black nail art pen
  • Light yellow acrylic color
  • Black polish or acrylic paint
  • Fimo flowers 4 pieces
  • A toothpick
Version2:
Now I will show you another hello kitty pattern for your nails. Follow the same steps from 1 to 3 as shown in the first version. But the only change i made here is, this time I have applied purple on the middle finger instead of white. I have also changed the fuchsia pink to a lighter sweet pink color. The white French tips have been kept the same.

Step4.
Take your white polish or acrylic paint and give some big and small dots with your dotting tool or toothpick on to the middle nail. Do the same with a yellow polish or yellow acrylic color.

Use a striper or a fine nail art brush and acrylic paint to draw the whiskers of Kitty. Use a black dot in the centre using the back end of a toothpick. Now take the front pointed end of the toothpick and give a yellow dot in the centre of the black dot. This saves you from creating a border around the tiny yellow dot which requires a lot of precision.
After this, apply some transparent polish on to the right corner of the French tips. Take a single Fimo flower of your choice with the help of a pair of tweezers. Place the Fimo flowers properly on to the dollop of transparent polish.

Now use a toothpick’s back end to take some black polish and create the eyes. You can even use a black nail art pen for this. Your design is done. Seal this beautiful design with a coat of transparent polish.
